November 2016 – week 2

Dear Sprouts parents,

We hope you had a wonderful weekend with the little sprouts. We can’t believe that it is the middle of November and almost Thanksgiving. Last week, we read “Let It fall”, and “Leaf Jumpers”. When we read the books, we used some leaves and let them fall down on our sprouts’ different body parts. For example, “Leaves are falling down on Emmy’s head / Ava’s nose / Rowan’s shoulders…” Our little sprouts loved this story activity. Also, it was great to practice saying body parts again. We also read “Five Silly Turkeys”. Even though our little sprouts need more time to know what turkey is, they still enjoyed the story and art activity a lot after reading. We made a turkey with leaves and shapes (circle, triangle and square). This week, we will read more books about Thanksgiving then our little sprouts will be more familiar with turkeys.(Click on photos)

As always, our little sprouts love to play, sing, dance, run and explore in any class. They especially enjoy “Freeze Dance” during circle time. It is a very fun song with motions. You can check it on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UcZWXvgMZE  We ordered more toys and art supplies for our little sprouts. Hopefully we will get them this week so we can have more fun! Thank you, Matthew’s mom and dad, for bringing homemade muffins, bananas and goldfish snack. They were so delicious, and we enjoyed them a lot. They asked “More, please,” many times.(Click on photos)

We will have more fun with our cute little sprouts this week before a week-long Thanksgiving holiday next week! Thank you.
